The Tupper Lake Tinman would not be the great race it is without our even greater volunteers! There are many opportunities for you to help out at the Tinman. Swim volunteers will help us out on the water on race day from about 7 AM - 10 AM. Swim volunteers should have their own canoe, kayak, or SUP along with appropriate paddles and life jackets. We also need a few people with pontoon boats. Our Swim Captain will contact you to coordinate where you are needed on the swim course.
Bike Aid Station volunteers will assist us at one of the five aid station located between Tupper Lake and Cranberry Lake along Route 3. These aid stations will operate from about 8 AM - 2 PM. Our Bike Captain will contact you to coordinate where you are needed on the course.
Run Aid Station volunteers will assist us at one of the seven aid station located within Tupper Lake on our run course. The run aid stations operate from about 8:30 AM - 4 PM on race day. Our Run Captain will reach out to you to coordinate where you are needed on the course.
Transition volunteers work in the Municipal Park on race day. There are various jobs to do in transition from the swim/run aid station, to bike security, to road entrance control. Volunteers start as early as 6 AM and go until about 4 PM. The Transition Captain will reach out to you to place you in the appropriate area.
Finish Line volunteers work at the Finish line of the race in the Municipal Park on Demars Blvd. This station operates from about 9 AM - 4 PM. Volunteers here will help with the said station, hand out medals and collect timing chips from the athletes. The Finish Line Captain will reach out to you to confirm details.
Volunteers for the Friday Check in will help us out on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 12 PM - 8 PM. Volunteers will help check athlete IDs, pass out packets and t-shirts. The Coordinator will reach out to you to confirm details.
Saturday morning athlete check-in takes place on June 24, 2023 from 6 AM - 8 AM. Volunteers will help check athlete IDs and hand out race packets and t-shirts. The Coordinator will reach out to you to confirm details.
